Child Safety Apparently Didn’t Exist Way Back When

by , under Car Seats, Safety

I’ve been going through Pinterest filling my “90s Kid” board with all the things that remind me of my childhood.  The search inevitably lead me to pages with items pre-1990s, and this is one of those:

Vintage Car Seat

I don’t know what year it’s from or anything like that because the link just led to a photo gallery with no information.  But through my searches I found several pictures of car seats like this.  Granted, cars didn’t move as fast decades ago as they do today, but this still seems incredibly unsafe.  And you wonder why the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)  stresses going over safety rules with grandparents before they supervise your child.  Times are VERY different now.
