Here I will give you tips for putting together a Diaper Changing Themed Gift Basket for $30, and everything in it will be absolutely useful!
Put the items in a garbage can (for all those dirty diapers, of course), diaper caddy basket, or a changing table storage crate/system.
What to Put in the Basket
Size 1 Diapers
I’ve tried just about every diaper out there, and hands-down Pampers Swaddlers are THE BEST for newborns. They leak less than any other diaper (even other styles of Pampers diapers) and have a wetness indicator that turns blue when baby urinates (that’s super duper handy!). Most other guests will buy newborn sized diapers, but many babies never fit them and go straight to size one.
Don’t get a wipe warmer! They are a waste of money and dry out wipes! Get a reusable wipe container instead. This awesome one from OXO has a weight in it that drops down as the wipes get low, so every wipe pulls out perfectly. Awesome!
Diaper Rash Cream
A mom’s sense of smell will be super keen right after giving birth as her hormones readjust themselves. When I came home from the hospital, I couldn’t stand the smell of the nursery–even the good smells. The lotions, soap, poop, and everything-baby smell mixed together made me sick. I love the raspberry scented Renuzit air fresheners, and they were the only thing that helped me cope.
Get the kind with a hand pump. I keep one on the changing table to scrub my hands with after each diaper change.
