Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula For Stretch Marks Lotion
Approximately $5.50 for 8.5 fluid ounces at Walmart.com

Rating: 4 out of 10

Pros:

  • The cocoa smell is heavenly.

Cons:

  • Greasy- my shirt felt like it was plastered to my stomach
  • Does not do much in the way of minimizing stretch marks AFTER you get them.  I read some reviews by people who used this while they were pregnant and BEFORE they got stretch mark.  They claim it prevented them.  But it does not help get rid of them after the fact.
  • Difficult to apply because the formula is so thick.  It was like trying to rub chocolate chip cookie dough on my stomach.

My Advice:

Stick to some other natural moisturizer that goes on smoothly and doesn’t make you feel sticky.  Also, start moisturizng before you ever see a stretch mark.  I thought I was home-free my entire pregnancy only for the darn things to show up the very last week.  Once you get them, it’s hard to get them to go away!
