Baby Book Review and Recommendation

First time parent?  You’re going to want a book on how to take care of your baby.  Now I know those What to Expect When… books are very popular, What to Expect The First Year is actually a very disorganized book that doesn’t include some of the basic information you NEED to know (like how you should wipe a baby girl from front to back or how much formula a newborn should take at each feeding).  I bought this book since I liked What to Expect When You’re Expecting  However, I was completely disappointed.  So skip that book and try something else.  Here is a book recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics:

Heading Home With Your Newborn (Second Edition)

By: Laura A. Jana (MD, FAAP) and Jennifer Shu (MD, FAAP)

Price: $ 15.95

Published: 2011

I don’t know what else the authors have written. What I do know is the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends it, and their website is the most thorough and helpful site for information on taking care of your baby. So, I’d trust any information from them before I’d trust those What to Expect… books.
