In My Diaper Bag

by , under Preparing for Baby

This is my diaper bag all packed and ready for traveling. The bag is Baby Bag in Camellia by Vera Bradley.

Need a quick reference for what to include in your diaper bag?  Here’s what’s in mine with links to my recommended, mother-approved products:

First, I have an on-the-go changing pad (specifically the Fisher-Price Deluxe Diaper Changer).  I love it!  It holds diapers, wipes, and baggies to tie up dirty diapers in as well as providing a cushioned place to lay baby down.  In my diaper changer I have the following:

1.) Newborn Diapers (Pampers Swaddlers Size: Newborn)

2.) Wipes (Huggies Natural Care Wipes 32 Count Travel Size)

3.) Baggies to tie up diapers (Arm & Hammer Bag Refills)

4.) Desitin

5.) Travel Size Baby Powder

In my diaper bag, I have the following:

1.) 2 Pacifiers (Avent Orthodontic BPA-Free Translucent Pacifiers 2 Pack)

2.) Pacifier Wipes (Munchkin Arm & Hammer Pacifier Wipes 36 Count)

3.) A Rattle Toy

4.) 2 Burp Cloths (Gerber Flat-Fold Birdseye Diaper)

5.) An extra shirt for me (in case of throw-up)

6.) An extra change of baby clothes (onesie, pants, jacket, socks, mittens, hat) in a Ziploc bag

7.) Swaddling/Receiving Blanket (Carter’s Receiving Blankets 4 Pack)

8.) Travel Size Bath Supplies (Johnson’s Bathtime Essentials Baby Set)

9.) Baby Wash Cloth

10.) Travel Size First Aid Kit (contains Band-Aids and Neosporin)

After ours was a couple months old, I realized I had been toting around a suitcase for her! We are now downsized to diapers, food, travel wipes, a pacifier, a couple wash cloths and usually have a blanket with us in case we need it to double as a changing station! I used to basically pack her entire room into the bag!
